Exciting new audio course!

New exciting learn-on-the-go course to take you beyond Pimsleur/Michel Thomas!

17/09/2008

We've recently been informed of a new audio course which will be intended to cater for learners who already have a basic knowledge of Russian and have either completed all the beginner audio courses available (Pimsleur or Michel Thomas) and wish there was a course to take them their knowledge even further.

Well, now there is and we're really excited about it. A new publisher Rowanvale will be releasing the first of their series of learn-on-the-go, all-audio Q1 of 2009. We don't have much information at this stage, since it's very much underwraps, but the publisher said to expect a 5 or 6 cd course with around 10 hours of audio in very much a similar style to that of Pimsleur and Michel Thomas. It'll take the format of hear an English prompt, think of the Russian during the pause, and then hear the Russian answer so you can check your response. It'll also build up your vocabularly and encourage you to build ever more complex sentences.

The even better news is that is just won't be a one course wonder, but they'll releasing a number of courses to take you from advanced beginner to intermediate to advanced level. So unlike Pimsleur and Michel Thomas, this course won't take you to a certain stage then abandon you on your own.

We wish we had more info to give you, but this is all that we could get at this stage.

If this sounds interesting to you, and you'd like to be kept informed, keep checking at this site for more news. The publishers will be looking for beta testers at the start of 2009 so if you are interested in finding out more and getting the chance to get your hands on the course early, send us a message, or leave a comment, and we'll drop you an occasional email when we get any more news.
